what is the meaning of life............. what is the meaning of live................ whats the difference between them????????????? hate....................... discrimnating is sick................................ am i sick.......................... or are u sick.......................... sick of all these......................... When we consider whether the country is developed or not we will ask a few question about the country how is the education system of the country, is people in the country having a good living standard and also how good is the country developing their infrastructure, this is why in this paper I will focus on this three main points to analysis how Indonesia is being developed is it good or not. Education is always the most important part of the development of an economy how much did the government actually put in into the education is always the main issue of how well the country is being developed. We can focus on two main issues, reducing inequality in enrollment level and improving quality of education. Also in a quantitative sense we can consider about the government expenditure on education In Indonesia there are a very high and amazing rate of enrollment in the primary level which they reached about 105% in the gross enrollment rate, but for the junior and senior secondary that’s another story, enrollment rate is not high and there are big difference between the pupil come from a rich family and poor family, from the paper we know the figure that the pupil from a rich family are 20% more likely to be enrolled in the junior and senior secondary level than those from the poor family. Also there are huge differences between provinces which compare in the wealth sense. The quality of education in Indonesia would be consider by the developed country as very poor, mainly because of the deteriorating of the education resources, such as the qualities of the teacher, there is only 55% of the teacher from the primary and 73% from the secondary have the qualification. Which means the quality of education that provided the Indonesian teacher is varied. Fortunately enough the government has provided with sufficient resources for tackling the problem of quality of teacher such as provide the teachers with sufficient qualification with a higher salary base. The student to teacher ratio is low in Indonesia but the main problem is there are a lot of them are part time or casual staff the absence from class still make the ratio become high indeed. Poor facility such not to standard classroom also rotten the quality of education only 44% of the classroom can reach the standard. Another major issue with the quality of education is the usefulness of the knowledge they teach in school from the feedback from the society they are not very happy with the outcome of the schooling. They find the pupil do not have the sufficient knowledge to survive in the real world which means the quality they provided is not good enough at all. We could see from the above facts that, Indonesia has a very good policy such as they implemented the compulsory education system for children aged 7-15 to receive basic education however when they exercising the policy they were doing a good job, it is mainly because of the wealth gap, their culture such as for those children from the farmer’s family have to maintain the family income instead of going to school but we can obviously know that getting the income in those time can not compensate those one can generate after being educated. Also for the point that the school not providing the appropriate education to the children in order to make them survive is also the main point that why the competitiveness of Indonesian are so low comparing to the most developed world. Without improving the quality of the education of the country it can consider that education problem will be the major obstacle of being further developed. Infrastructure in Indonesia had been in a high position before the crisis after the crisis the government main focus turn to macro stabilizing that’s why the infrastructure at that point of time had fallen to 3% out of the GDP compare to 5-6% investment before. So after the election the new government think this is a threat to the country, they wanted to change it so they took the advice from the world bank and try to push the infrastructure investment increase in 2%. The first step they took is to offering public private partnership to the private sector tell me what is this?????????????????????? |
